ART
Right around the time when Miami’s Design District began experiencing it’s cultural revival, I became inspired by the eclectic energy and tried my own hand with this abstract series.
Here are a few original pieces produced and exhibited during that period.
Musical Roots
During the 1960s in Cuba, my grandmother Berta Corzo wrote and composed a series of songs that she was unable to produce given the oppressive political climate. However, she passed the lyrics and melodies along to my mother who kept the songs alive by playing them at family gatherings. In 2019, with the collaboration of the talented composer David Miranda and my mother Lourdes performing as the vocalist (at age 70), we preserved these classics songs in the album you can listen to below.
